The Donut Tunnel
Donuts are always selling out at the popular donut shop run by the Badger Sisters, who bring them in every day from far over the mountains. It’s tricky to keep transporting the donuts every morning!
Luckily, the Mole Construction Company is the best in town, and they’re eager to help out! The moles get to work tunnelling through the mountain, chomping through and hauling out rocks with their construction vehicles. Everyone pitches in – even a team of armadillo plasterers! Using all sorts of tools and vehicles like a jumbo drill, a hydraulic breaker, and a loader, the moles complete the tunnel, and even spruce up the donut shop! Everyone rejoices when it reopens and every shelf is chock-full of the Badger sisters' delightful donuts!
Shingo Nagasaki’s beautifully detailed paintings bring working vehicles to life. Filled with charm, humor and warm storytelling, The Mole Construction Company series shows the power of teamwork, helping others, and problem-solving. Perfect for children aged 4–7, this picture book is ideal for read-aloud story times, vehicle fans and little builders everywhere.
