Who's Afraid? A Halloween Reading & Zine Launch
Who's Afraid? is a literary reading series curated and hosted by Furqan Mohamed, dedicated to the many shapes of fear: terror, haunting, and feeling like an outsider. Who gets to be afraid? Are you the one with goosebumps, or are you the thing that goes bump in the night?
This Halloween, the series comes to Nuts and Shells for a special edition, centering kids. Spend the afternoon with us listening to spooky poems, stories and more, read by guest readers and young storytellers. Much of the event is set aside for kids who don't often get the chance to share their work out loud. If you're scared, now's your chance to be scared together.
At the event
- Readings by guest readers and young storytellers
- The launch of the Who's Afraid? Zine, a community zine for all, all about fear
- Costumes are welcome!
Tickets are $10 per person, and space is limited.
Want to be in the zine or read at the event? Submissions are free and open until Friday, October 23. Submit your work →
